PuddleDucks is Ireland's leading online specialist in outdoor wear for children – whatever the weather!

At PuddleDucks we are really passionate about the outdoors and we love to see children enjoying the freedom and benefits of outdoor adventures and play. Our online shop is all about providing children with the right gear to allow outdoor activity all year round while protected from all weathers, rain or shine.

We are Suzanne and Aedan and we run PuddleDucks from our office in Carrigaline, Co. Cork.  We set the company up in 2004 as a direct response to our own need to find proper waterproof clothing for our son.  We wanted waterproofs that really worked and that would keep him warm and dry while he played outside.  There simply wasn’t anything suitable in Ireland at the time so we purchased some Swedish made waterproof dungarees for him. They were perfect and did exactly what we needed them to do, giving him the freedom to play outside, making mud pies, rolling in the grass or just having fun in the rain – all while staying clean, warm and dry on the inside.

They were such a bonus to our lives that we contacted the Swedish suppliers, set up an agreement to sell their products in Ireland and as a result started PuddleDucks.™

Our first online shop had only 10 waterproof products. We have built our range over the years as a direct response to customer feedback and demand.  As well as an extensive range of 100% waterproof clothes for children of all ages we have a full collection of sun and beach wear including proper wetsuits for children and UV protection wear.  

Since the very first day we have been committed to providing quality products backed by excellent and personal customer service.  As a small company we are proud of our friendly and speedy service and are always happy to advise you on the best choice for your child.   As parents we feel we understand your needs as parents.

We select our suppliers very carefully and only buy from them after extensive research and testing.  We choose suppliers that design clothes specifically for the needs of children – clothes that kids can move and play in but that are also durable and practical.  And crucially the clothing must do the job that it is designed for.  In addition we only use suppliers that have ethical work standards in place to ensure that workers are treated and paid fairly and under no circumstances use child labour.  We avoid suppliers who use toxic chemicals in their products and whenever there is an option we buy clothes that meet the Oko-Tex Environmental Standards.  We believe the clothes that we choose are the best available at the fairest price while ensuring quality and performance.
