Waterproofs
The waterproofs all wash extremely well and are machine washable at 40°. Please refer to the individual labels for your item but as a guide the following applies:
Wash at 40°, do not iron, do not tumble dry, do not dry clean, do not use fabric softener.
Wash at 40°, do not spin, do not iron, do not tumble dry, do not dry clean, do not dry in the hot press / airing cupboard. Dries quicker inside out.
Always hang the garment up to dry when it is wet.
Hang up to dry as soon as the washing machine stops, unless stated otherwise on the laundry care label.
Do not use excess detergent.
Do not soak.
Do not bleach.
Avoid extended washing.
Close zips and buckles before washing.
Wash with garments of the same colour.
Wash at no more than 40° using a gentle wash program.
Our range of ‘noisy fleeces’ can also be machine washed but must not be tumble dried.

Our Waterproof Materials
Atec is a Polyurethane-coated stretch fabric. It is a fantastic material for children’s waterproofs as it is very light, soft, tear-resistant and allows a full range of motion. It washes extremely well – even covered in mud it can simply be wiped down and hung up to dry. When machine washed it looks like new! The material can appear creased when brand new but any creases quickly drop out.
All of our children’s waterproofs are made of this material excluding the Explorer Jacket and the Trailblazer Jacket which are made of the Airways Material.
The Airway series is manufactured from Abeko’s most exclusive materials. Polyamide and polyester fabrics that give full protection from wind and rain while being completely breathable. Wonderfully lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Fully waterproof and windtight fabrics with a polyurethane coating. Lightweight and comfortable to wear the durable materials tolerate normal temperature changes and are easy to wash.
All our waterproof clothing has either heat sealed or taped seams and is waterproof to a minimum standard of 2,000mm
